Resentments and Gratitude
Reflections
....on the Road to Recovery
Heard this the other day.....
Write your resentments in sand.....write your blessings in granite.
I really like this. Short and to the point. My resentments can become overwhelming at times, but if I continue to work my program and do 10th steps, they ARE written in sand. You would think gratitude would be a given -- a "no brainer" for any recovering addict, but sometimes this just isn't so. Why at times, are sobriety, God's grace, health, freedom and safety suddenly not enough!! When this happens in my life, and it does, I simply must pray for God's guidance to open my heart, mind and soul to receive what He has so graciously given me.
